Google PageRank Update – November 2011

Google has roll out a new Google PageRank Update in November 2011. If you are a webmaster and/or a blog or website owner this will surely make you feel happy/sad. Google has updated PageRank in the month August 2011 previously and total 5 times in the current calendar year. The great news for GeekBlogger readers is that our blog home page got PageRank 4 which was previously PageRank 3 (PR3 -> PR4). see What is Pagerank? How to Increase your Page Rank?. – So after seeing above history i suspect that now next google pagerank update would be around Jan-Feb 2012. I am writing this post to notify all fellow bloggers about the PR update and the new PR of my blog.

Note: As per matt cutts, google updates Page Rank of websites on every 3 to 4 months span which justify the history of google page ranke we have seen earlier in the post.

Resources to know your PR

1. Download Google Toolbar : If you install the Google Toolbar you will see a green indicator in your Internet Explorer / Firefox toolbar showing you the Google Page Rank of the page. Hovering over the green bar will give you a number which is the page’s Google Page Rank.
2. Check Page Rank of your Web site on PR Checker
3. Firefox Add-on to find PR which i am using to get Google PageRank and Alexa rank: Display the Google PageRank, Alexa rank, Compete ranking and SEOmoz Linkscape mozRank anywhere in your browser, along with fast keyword density analyser, keyword/nofollow highlighting, backward/related links, Alexa info and other SEO tools.
