Silver Fern Job Search Visa – Tips for Form and Application Submission

4 Days to go before NZ Immigration department opens the Online application form for Silver Fern Job Search Visa. We are getting lots of questions from different sources about the requirements and things needed on the day when application form opens.
Below are the steps required to be followed, and tips to submit the form:
1) Register your account by visiting http://www.immigration.govt.nz/ and click on Log in to apply online button

2) Select from the list Silver Fern Job Search Visa
Register an account

3) Register a new account by clicking on “Create an account” , and confirm the account by verifying the email from your e-mail account.
Login using User name and Password

4) Login using username and password
5) Click on Silver Fern Job Search Visa under Online Services Section, and it will open a new new window

This is the page which you should be filling up (Currently you might be seeing a message” Unfortunately at this time we are not accepting new applications for the Silver Fern Job Search Visa” but on the day when form opens (i.e. 10:00 AM) it will show you the form you should be filling up)

Tips and things to be ready with on the dooms day, keep all the following information handy in any notepad file, so you can copy/paste everything without typing errors:
1) All the details from your Passport  (i.e. Given name, first name, last name, birth date, passport issued from, passport valid from and to date, Your full address)
2) Your Highest level of education (i.e. Bacholor of Engineering, Major in Information and Technology), this is just an example, please enter your education details accordingly. Select NZQA Level 7 for bacholor or similar level education qualification.)
3) For IELTS, if you have already secured 6.5 overall band score in GENERAL OR Academic), select it OR you can select the second option as per following screen shot

4) If available, keep your driving license information handy
5) Health and Character requirement, make sure you are healthy and have no criminal background :), you need to fill this info into form, to just say YES/NO on few points.
6) Payment Details – VISA Credit Card with Limit of at-least 20K as VISA fees is 12,500 INR

    Hi Roon
    You do not need to do your qualification assessment before applying the visa as you know the place is limited up to 300 seats.You can do it after successfully applying this visa.

    Hi Roon,
    Thanks for the help. Can you tell me how many days will be available for submitting ielts score??
    I have already scored 6.5 but two years have passed. Now i think i need to apply again so plz guide should i take the test after succesful completion of application, will there be enough time to get the result and submit it.

    If its over 2 yrs then you may have to re-take IELS...bummer, I know u dont have much time before application. Get on this forum: http://www.enz.org/forum/forum.php
    Check if you can use your older scores.

    Hi Sohaib there will be total 3 month after you submit your application online .During this 3 months you have to submit your documents to immigration office .you can give your IELTS test during this 3 months but it is recommended you give it before this time period so you can have your result on hand.

    Hi Shaik Ibrahim it is needed to pay with either Master Card or VISA card it is not mandatory to use credit card you can use debit card as well for better result i will suggest you to buy something from you card for confirmation that your card is working well for foreign currency as well.

    Hi @ Unknown. Dear you can fill the application in either capital or small make sure you fill it all the details according to your passport to avoid any mistakes.The important thing is that you fill all the correct data.You do not need to have any certificate ready because while filling the form they will ask only questions and nothing to upload.They will ask another proof of identity after passport so it is better to keep your driving licence ready.

    Dear prasanth , The Application form size usually comes in KB which can be 100 to 300 KB and for this form you do not need to upload any documents which have size of 300kb to 1 MB so for filling this form if you have the speed of 512 KBPS it is ok. It dosent matter if you increase the speed .It could be matter if there is any race of uploading any documents which require high speed internet.

    It will be simple question for health like do you have HIV ?You have to tick yes and no from the options and for character they will ask question like do you have any criminal background?that is also yes and no questions. All the best for your submition.

    @GAGAN...Dear I think the site was not worked totally at all for all applicant.I could open only one page of the application and then the site was not responding.It was like I spent the whole night but couldn't get the application form.As per my belief they will reschedule the date for this application.
    Have you face the same problem?

    Yup.. i was not even able to login. After spending 3-4 hours i have seen status as next opening date is 2017 November and then it was time to sit like not meant for you:)

    But in morning, i just checked if website is up again then i read notification that VISA is open and i was then able to login and get first page of Silver Fern application. Then after it failed continuously.

    So, this time it was very on off thing for me. I am not even sure if anybody get through the form.

    Even, what will be the new date if they are opening again.

    @ Gagan...Had you applied it last year? If yes how successful you was. and if I talk about this time the site was crashed and was not redirecting to the application form .I hope they will open the quota soon and they will also publish the new date.

    @macwan amit ... yes i have applied last year as well and i was successfully reached till payment page and then my application status was "Pending Payment" :| .. and that was last step that was pending :| ..

    @ Gagan...So So happy to meet you the person who have experience. So how was the experience of waiting for one year? I even can not imagine to wait and you waited, so much patience. So Good Gagan.
    Can you tell me a what time you had applied and how many minutes you took to reach payment page?

    So now you have experience and from it you can tell this time the website was totally not working.Am I right?

    Hi Gagan and Macwan Amit, i did not appear for IELTS exam yet. Is IELTS a mandatory for Silver Fern Visa? I have completed all my education in english medium.

    Guys..!! By the grace of god . i submitted the application.
    Does anyone know for showing the funds of $4200, PF Provident Funds are considered or not and Dollar here is the value of US dollar or the NZ dollar value ?

      From what I know it should be NZD.
      By the way, I secured a slot but I have not received the email yet. When I make a call, they said some of the applications are still in process... Does anyone has the same issue?

      Hi Naina,

      I was also able to secure a slot.
      All my documents are ready including PCC and Medicals.
      Currently waiting for NZQA result(opted for Standard processing) which was applied on 3rd and the status is now waiting for allocation.
      Could you please let me know your progress on submitting docs.

      And for your queries you can send an email to New Zealand immigration department (info@iaa.govt.nz) or contact them on +64 99144100 (try this to get a immediate answer).

    hello everyone. quick question about qualification assessment...so i have 2 diplomas BS and MS, my masters diploma from USA university is exempt from assessment but my Bs diploma is not. Do i still have to assess my BS diploma?

    Hello All. Please guide me about three things. Can I take the English language test after the online submission of Silver fern visa? Secondly, I am a PGDRM from IRMA (Gujarat); which level of New Zealand professional course will it come? Currently, I am also doing my Master in Management from GSOM, SPBU, Russia which is equivalent to point 9 but since its not completed and will get completed in May, 2019. Can I take this and apply on this qualification or can i mention about it?
